It was a punishing 30 KM trek to this spot. But the view, one would agree, was worth the pain.
The Singalila range, now that is what I call a "tent" with a view.(Woke up and stepped out to this sight on day 2 of the trek)

Don't really feel like saying the usual Wows and Amazings...Because it's so obvious, it's pointless to say!!!

Love the magnolia pic in particular..
Mercury, it is amazing. This is not to get you to turn green. It was really awesome. I wish more people go there, its nature at its best. The worst part was , on the four day trek up the mountains, there were all kinds of nationals except Indians. I was the only Indian climbing up, really sad to see that we have such amazing stuff in our backyard and dont take the time or effort to take a peek a boo at it. My guide a 15 year veteran told me I was the first guy from Chennai hes trekked with. Sad.There is lots of stuff out there to see and do, money aint the 'be all and end all' of life.Shit, this is getting almost as big as a post, so shalt stop here. Dinner at the crown is still up for grabs ;-).
As for the camera, I really wish I d taken a wide angle lens. It was a run of the mill FUJI 2Meg cam and I shot the whole thing on 1 Meg to save on memory, too much to shoot and too little space.
Wow! The pics are........ (i am still groping for words!).. My jaw has dropped so low, that i need surgery to put it back!
Well, I know that it's something I would really enjoy and it's long been on my list.But from the way you describe it and all the pics, I'm really in a hurry to go!!!
And maybe, when I get there , the guide will tell me that I am the first girl from chennai to go there...lol
I want to ski and white water raft as well...Sometime real soon I hope!!
And about dinner at the crown ...lol..it sounds like you are auctioning it!! Or I have to compete for it..lol
But, if it's not either...And you promise I won't get bored..I'll think about it!!!
